Psychologist asserts Cristiano Ronaldo unprepared for setbacks in life

Renowned Portuguese psychologist, Filipa Torrinha Nunes, suggests that Portugal's football captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, struggles with handling setbacks in life.

Nunes made this observation following Ronaldo's recent suspension for making offensive gestures toward Al-Shabab fans, who were chanting Lionel Messi's name during a match. The incident occurred as Ronaldo's Saudi Pro League team, Al-Nassr, secured a 3-2 victory over Al-Shabab last weekend.

As a consequence of his actions, Ronaldo received a one-game ban and a $6,800 fine.

Nunes elaborated on Ronaldo's reaction, stating, "Cristiano Ronaldo has a challenging relationship with defeat. This has been evident since his youth. While it drives him to achieve excellence and be the best globally, it also highlights his struggle with acceptance."

She continued, "He finds it difficult to cope with moments where he doesn't perform optimally, faces criticism, or encounters fans who don't support him. It's evident that Cristiano Ronaldo may not be emotionally equipped to navigate life's disappointments."
