Odumodublvck: Father's Death Linked to Inability to Afford this!!!
Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, has opened up about his challenging journey as a struggling artist and the heartbreaking loss of his father due to the family's inability to afford a hospital bed space priced at N70,000.
Reflecting on his past struggles, Odumodublvck revealed that his family's financial constraints forced them to bring his father home to pass away.
This difficult experience has deeply influenced his perspective on the music industry, leading him to assert that no artist directly facilitated his rise to musical success.
Addressing the notion of artists "paving the way" for others, Odumodublvck emphasized the role of divine intervention in his journey. He acknowledged being inspired by fellow rappers but rejected the idea that any artist paved the way for him.
Taking to his X handle on Wednesday, Odumodublvck expressed his sentiments, stating: "When my father passed away, my family was in dire financial straits. We couldn't afford the N70,000 hospital bed space, so we had no choice but to bring him home."
He continued, "Don't come to me talking about someone paving the way for me. That's in God's hands. Don't let your ego cloud my reality. I acknowledge your influence, but no one paves the way for another. Nobody!"
Odumodublvck's candid remarks follow recent claims made by veteran singer Eedris Abdulkareem in a podcast interview, where he asserted that he paved the way for artists like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, and others in the current Nigerian music scene.
